Regular meeting of the Waterloo Water & Light Commission held September 1, 2026
Meeting called to order by President Schumann at 7:00pm at the Waterloo Utilities office. Present were
Commissioners Vern Butzine, Pam Kuhl, Michael Tschanz, Superintendent Barry Sorenson, and Charlie Kuhl.
Absent Richard Weihert.
Minutes
Motion by Schumann, seconded by Butzine, to approve the minutes of the August 4, 2026 meeting with the
exception to change “Customer Compliant” to “Customer Complaint”. Motion carried.
Expenditures
Motion by Tschanz, seconded by Kuhl, to approve the August disbursements as presented. Motion carried.

None.
WPPI Contract Extension
Motion by Schumann, seconded by Butzine, to recommend to City Council approval of the WPPI contract
extension to 2073. Motion carried.
Solar PV Tariff Group Tariff Filing
Motion by Schumann, seconded by Kuhl, to approve the filing in the group Solar PV Tariff filing. Motion carried.
Electric Jobs
Sorenson review the electric jobs.
Motion by Butzine, seconded by Tschanz, to adjourn the meeting at 7:45pm. Motion carried.
