. Park & Recreation Commission Meeting Minutes April 13, 2026 1. Call Meeting to Order, Roll Call and Pledge to the Flag: Chairman Peter Mark called the meeting to order at 5:01 pm. Members present included Chris Griswold, Rick Ziegler, Amanda Ewert. Ryan Lipovsek was absent and Carl Jaeger has resigned. 2. Approval of minutes: Ziegler made a motion to approve the minutes from April 13, 2026 as presented. Ewert seconded the motion. Motion carried, 4-0. 3. Report from Park & Recreation Staff: Andrew Beaudette updated the commission on the opening date of the parks will be April 15th. 4. Discussion and recap of 2026 Easter egg Hunt: It was noted that there were approximately 200 attendees, the commission discussed the pros and cons of the event. It was noted that they were thankful to the 4H kids for all their help stuffing plastic eggs. The Commission wants to send thank you cards to the 4H club, school district, and the Fireman’s Association, Griswold offered to do this. 5. Update, discussion and possible action on filling open Park & Rec Committee positions: There was no discussion, Ewert stated that she would put a notice out on her community page looking for volunteers. 6. Discussion and possible action on fundraising for playground equipment at Ixonia firemen’s park a. Fundraising Working Group activities: it was noted that Ixonia Bank along with Brewfinity and A. Beaudette Landscaping Services are sponsoring a beer garden event on May 27th from 5 to 8 at Fireman’s Park to raise money for the new playground equipment. Discussion was had regarding the luncheon partnered with Ixonia Pub and the continued work with the Fireman’s Association regarding the bingo license. 7. Review previous months Financial Reports: The reports were reviewed. 8. Next meeting date – May 4, 2026 at 5pm – Ixonia Town Hall: This meeting was canceled due to the lack of business to discuss.
