. Park & Recreation Commission Meeting Minutes January 5, 2026 1. Call Meeting to Order, Roll Call and Pledge to the Flag: Chairman Peter Mark called the meeting to order at 5:03 pm. Members present included Ryan Lipovsek, Carl Jaeger, Chris Griswold, Amanda Niere, and Rick Ziegler. 2. Approval of minutes: Ziegler made a motion to approve the minutes as presented. Lipovsek seconded the motion. Motion carried, 6-0. 3. Report from Park & Recreation Staff: There was no report presented. 4. Discussion and action on Summer help: The job description was reviewed and updated with the changes in pay and age requirements. Ziegler made a motion to approve the job description as presented. Niere seconded the motion. Motion carried, 6-0. 5. Discussion and possible action on 2026 Easter egg Hunt a. Saturday April 4 b. 10am crafts start – 11am egg hunt c. Request funds for crafts projects, candy & prizes from Ixonia Volunteer Firemen’s association d. Ixonia school reservation 9am – noon e. 4H will stuff eggs March 2nd This event was discussed and tasks were given to members to research and report back at the next meeting. Niere will look into craft ideas and prices. Lipovsek will call the school. Mark will look into contacting the 4H Club to stuff the eggs. Ziegler will ask the Fire Association for a donation. 6. Update, discussion and possible action on filling open Park & Rec Committee positions: No discussion on this item. 7. Update on 2026 baseball contracts: Staff will send out the contracts. 8. Discussion and possible action on donations for playground equipment at Ixonia firemen’s park: Would like an update on the balance in the bank account for the next meeting. 9. Discussion and possible action on additional community fund raising events: There was no discussion on this item. 10. Review previous months Financial Reports and end of year 2025 report: Report was reviewed. 11. Next meeting date – February 02, 2026 at 5pm: Commission was updated on the next meeting date and time. 12.
