Town Board Meeting — Minutes

February Official Minutes Town of Hiles Board Meeting Wednesday, February 11th 2026 Hiles Town Hall, Wood County Chairman Bargender called the meeting to order at 6:05pm. Present were: Chairman Rebecca Bargender, Supervisor Jeff Costigan, Supervisor Mark Gudel, Treasurer Soraya Krostag, and Clerk Cassandra Pio-Stoflet Other: The minutes of the Wednesday, January 14th, 2026 Hiles Town Board meeting were presented. Moved by Supervisor Mark Gudel and seconded by Supervisor Jeff Costigan to accept the minutes as presented. Motion carried. The Treasurer’s report for January was presented. Moved by Supervisor Jeff Costigan and seconded by Supervisor Mark Gudel to approve as presented. Motion carried.  Election Equipment User Agreement is presented for approval. Approval granted.  Emergency Operations Plan reviewed and completed to board ability.  Town insurance deductible for Rural Mutual approved for $1000 deductible. Review insurance carrier in 2027.  Treasurer and Clerk reconciled books. Reconciliation presented for approval. Reconciliation approved. Correspondence:  Circuit Court Judge candidate Elizabeth Gebert will be attending the March meeting, schedule permitting  Town has contracted with TDS for internet. Rate locked in at 39.99 per month. Installation February 17th.  Funds for Covid relief were returned to treasury this month  Liberty contacted about tire contract; awaiting finalization The bills were presented for payment. Moved by Supervisor Mark Gudel and seconded by Supervisor Jeff Costigan to make all payments as presented. Motion carried. Next Town of Hiles Board Meeting will be Wednesday March 4th @ 6pm Moved by Supervisor Jeff Costigan and seconded by Supervisor Mark Gudel to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.
