LRIP / Road Grants
The Town received the State Municipal LRIP agreement. The Board discussed the next required
steps, including preparation and publication of the project advertisement, submission through the
LRIP website to the Department of Revenue at least seven days prior to publication, publication
of the advertisement for two weeks, and collection of bids.
The Board noted that all bids must be unit-priced and itemized by quantities, including tons and
feet, as required by the state’s cost database initiative.
Discussion was held regarding project timing, with acknowledgment that completion during the
current calendar year will depend on contractor availability and bid responses.
Public Works / Roads
Waste Management plans to attend the June 8 meeting to discuss a proposed change to the
garbage pickup day.
Board members discussed information presented during the Road School / LRIP training session,
including encouragement for municipalities to pursue permanent road funding solutions rather
than relying solely on grant opportunities.
The Board reviewed pavement damage on Jenny Road caused by an imprinted cable or hook,
resulting in potholes and freeze damage. Patching repairs were discussed to prevent further
deterioration.
The Board discussed vegetation overgrowth and dead ash trees on 15th Street right-of-way.
Safety concerns were noted and trimming or removal options were discussed.

meeting. Consideration may be given to used equipment if pricing continues to increase.
Discussion was held regarding upcoming Whistler system changes. By December, Whistler will
require use of a My Wisconsin ID login.

the order.
