carried.

Josh Miller from WEDC introduced himself as the replacement for Melinda. He stated he will assist
the CDA in any way he can and is looking forward to the collaborations and growth in Pittsville. Josh
explained how the upcoming CDI will work. The city will move forward with a resolution provided from
the CDI. However, the city no longer has to apply for the grant as the non-profit is now able to. This
allows them to do their own reporting and audits which saves the city time and money.
Julie Strenn had a couple questions for Josh and stated fundraising is going well for the project.
Two businesses submit applications for the EEDI Grants/Loans from the WEDC SDBG program
award money. They were reviewed and discussed individually.
First was Cournoyer Oil. They applied to help with the cost of a major repair to one of their trucks.
Schooley made a motion to approve the $5,000 grant. Second by Brandt. Motion carried
The second application was from TTG properties. This application was to assist in the cost of a major
remodel to a rental property kitchen and bathroom. The updates would assist in keeping the property
attractive and viable to rent for years to come. Motion by Schooley to approve $5,000 Grant, Second
by Brandt. Motion carried
This money will need to be allocated no later that December 31, 2026. Angela will put it back on the
L.E.D. sign and reach out again to some local businesses.
Mayor Darr reached out to Joe Wilhelm to see if he still wanted to be on the CDA. He said his
schedule doesn’t allot him to attend many meetings and thinks it’s a good idea to replace him if
possible. Mark plans to appoint Janel Swoboda at the next Council meeting.
Brandt is requesting a $150 donation for the music in the green space events. He would like to
schedule one more event this summer and needs $150 to cover it. There were not enough member
present to vote so this will go on next months agenda. However, with the donations that were given to
the CDA since the past meeting, the event will be covered, and the remaining money will go to next
year’s events.
Tyler also mentioned that he scheduled Doug Kroeing to come back on July 17th from 6-9PM. He had
a great turnout last week as did the Daily Special food truck
The administrative report was read.
Future agenda items include donation request for music at the Green Space.
6:45 PM Motion by Schooley to adjourn. Second by Brandt. Motion carried and the meeting was
adjourned.
