LOCAL OFFICIALS INVOLVEMENT MEETING VILLAGE OF CAMERON Thursday, November 06, 2025 | 5:30 – 7:30 P.M. 300 N 1st Street, Cameron, WI 54822 LOCAL OFFICIALS INVOLVEMENT MEETING NOTICE The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), in cooperation with Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEH), will hold an in person Local Officials meeting at the date and time listed below. The purpose of this meeting is to update local officials and utilities on the scope of the project and review potential impacts. We would encourage you, or your representative, to attend in person if possible. The project will replace the pavement on USH 8 from the asphalt/concrete joint line at the southern intersection of CTH SS to approximately 480’ east of the northern intersection of CTH SS within Cameron, WI in Barron County. Impacts to existing right of way are anticipated. Additionally, other work will include additional turn lanes, sidewalks, curb and gutter, base aggregate, storm sewer, traffic signals, railroad crossing upgrades, sanitary, and watermain work. Preliminary Plans will be available and reviewed during the meeting. We will also discuss utility locations and potential conflicts, detour routes, pedestrian accommodations, staging, project options, and potential right of way impacts. Construction is scheduled for the summer of 2029. A Teams meeting invitation can be provided for any utilities/local officials wishing to join on-line.
