Public Works Committee — Minutes

Public Works Committee Meeting Public Works Committee meeting, Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the City Hall. Those present were Tom Goldsmith, Michael Cifaldi, Steve Anderson, Arlene Frisinger, Randy Reeg by phone, Devon Fredrickson and other citizens. Absent: Bill Lussier Goldsmith called the meeting to order at 10:40 a.m. A motion was made by Cifaldi, seconded by Anderson, to approve July 21, 2026, Public Works Committee meeting minutes. Motion carried. A motion was made by Cifaldi, seconded by Anderson, to have Jungbauer replace the broken-up sidewalk at his residence this year. Motion carried. A motion was made by Cifaldi, seconded by Anderson, to recommend to council to approve the purchase of a Fabick CAT stump grinder in the amount of $9,500. Motion carried. Discussion regarding rubber blades for the plows. No action taken. Discussion regarding pollinator/native planting gardens. No action taken. Grove St sidewalk proposal was discussed, and a break was taken to go look at the sidewalks. A motion was made by Cifaldi, seconded by Anderson, to adjourn at 12:04 a.m. Motion carried.
