OCTOBER 9, 2023 REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING W8241 BROWN DEER DR Meeting called to order by Chairman Nett. Present were the board: J. Nett, A. Stea. R. Van, L. Stea and P . Nett. Public present: Tom Welty, Rich Delisle, Paul Nyhuis, Tony Fischer, Amanda Nuchell and Travis Girmscheid. Motion by Supervisor Stea to approve the Agenda. Seconded by Supervisor Van. Motion carried. (board had quorum). Motion by Supervisor Van to approve the minutes of the September 11, 2023 meeting. Seconded by Supervisor Stea. Motion carried. Treasurer’s report by Treasurer L. Stea: All good, preparing for tax season. Clerk’s report by Clerk P . Nett: Also preparing for tax season. Would like board to consider a purchase of a shredder to use in the office. Would need to be a little heavier duty. Also, could look into having a company come in to pick up shredding. Will discuss it more next month. Public Comments: Comment by T. Welty regarding split of 19 acres parcel and placement of 1980 trailer. Is not in favor. Comment by Paul Nyhuis regarding potholes on 13th. Also, not in favor of splitting 19 acres parcel and placement of old trailer. Comment by Tony Fischer who is also not in favor of splitting the 19 acres parcel and placing old trailer. Board received a letter from Christine Bohn who is also not in favor of splitting the 19 acres parcel and placement of old trailer. Discussion/possible action on Conditional Use request by Amanda Nuchell and Travis Girmscheid. Both are present. They are requesting the board’s approval to split their 19 acres parcel into a 10 acres parcel and a 9 acre parcel. Then place a 1980s trailer on the 9 acres that belongs to their father for him to live here. Discussion held. There have been requests before to make a parcel of land less that the 10 acres that are required and they have been opposed. Motion by Supervisor Van to oppose the Conditional Use and must stay with the 10 acres parcels. Seconded by Supervisor Stea. Motion carried. Letter will be delivered to Zoning office. No correspondence and 2 Zoning matters reviewed. Discussion on preliminary budget. Report by Rich Delisle on Bughs Lake Management Dist. No licenses. Report by Supervisor Stea on Wild Rose Fire Dist and report by Supervisor Van on Wautoma Fire Dist. Discussion on Roads: Proposed easement for the Dam Project, Update on the court case for sign damage and letter from the Highway Commissioner on grant program. Motion by Supervisor Van to pay bills with check #3747 – check #3751. Seconded by Supervisor Stea. Motion carried. (board had quorum) Motion to adjourn by Supervisor Stea to adjourn.
