Mill Restoration Meeting — Minutes

Minutes of the Mill Restoration Regular Meeting Tuesday, March 31, 2026 Call to order - 9:00am by Chairman Barnard Roll Call - Present: Chairman Kent Barnard, Mary Pilz, Tara Anderson, Jeff Attoe, Harold ,Hansen, Jr., Robbie Jansen and Greg Ida. Absent: Julie Attoe Approve Agenda - Motion by Anderson, second by Attoe, motion carried. Approve Minutes - tabled until next meeting New Business - Harold took a photo of the members of the committee with the historical marker. Mill Site visit for sign placement took place after Old Business. Old Business- Barnard was able to get Mr H at the HS to copy the plans onto larger sheets Jeff Attoe reported the dock piece was already gone. Barnard reported there was nothing to report on Grant Progress Barnard reported there was no progress on finding a contractor to oversee the project Barnard reported that Smykal had not gotten back to him, Robbie Jansen, Village Maintenance Chief will talk to concrete people to get quotes on getting the work done. Work entails creating a base for the marker, and also possibly creating a ramp on the pond side entrance per plans. New Business - Mill Visit - After looking at the site by the parking lot, it was agreed that the open space (no fencing) to the right of the parking spaces would be a good location as it offers the opportunity for photos of the mill with the sign, and since it is in the parking area, it would be safer than having the marker on 22, next to the mill, where parking is limited.
