Town of Menomonie Regular Monthly Meeting Tuesday July 14th, 2026 6:00pm Town Hall E4055 550th Ave. Menomonie Present: Kent Jackson, Scott Barnhart, Arden McMartin, Nancy Ponto and Charisse Sutliff Kent called the Board meeting to Order at 6:00 pm Approval of Minutes • Minutes from June 9th, 2026, Board meeting were read. o Scott made a motion to approve the minutes, Arden 2nd Carried. Public ▪ Brett Pauly was present with a driveway permit. He has plans to square up and relocate his existing driveway so that the visibility is better. ▪ Arden made a motion to approve the permit, Scott 2nd Carried. Adoption of Ordinance 2026-02 Town of Menomonie Comprehensive Plan • The Board reviewed the Plan. Kent said he was very proud of it and appreciated the work the commission did over the last year and a half. • Kent made a motion to approve the 2026 Comprehensive Plan, Arden 2nd Carried. Temporary Picnic License • The Irvington Booster Club requested a temporary Alcohol Beverage License via Grandpa Joe’s Bar. The fee of $25 was collected. • Scott made a motion to approve the license, Kent 2nd Carried. Patrolman Report • Kent and the Patrolman covered their meeting with residents in Woodland Terrace. The Patrolman reported that they have gotten the asks completed. Kent gave information on what the responsibilities are of the Township. A stop sign was opened up. Starting in September the Terrace would be trimming their own trees with a pole saw. • Patrolman have been busy patching roads and mowing. • Angie from US Blade and Chain has rubber blades that are on presale. Matt asked if they could be purchased. Kent said yes – get them ordered. Commission Report • Scott wasn’t able to be here tonight. But Kent reported the Plan was finalized and adopted. Chairperson Reports ▪ Kent had forwarded the information on the Innovation Grant. We were approved. We have gotten a refund with the Menomonie Rural Fire Department and it will keep costs down for next year. We will be receiving $22730.00 each year for the next five years. Clerk Reports ▪ Absentee ballots have been sent out for the August 11th Election. Poll Workers are being confirmed. Board Report • Arden asked about if we were being reimbursed by Lunda for the parking on our property? Kent said no, we have allowed it and it will assist them in completing the project faster. • Arden had a map of the cemetery and he was discussing the purchase request of four monuments and where they would be placed in regard to the new mapping which showed unmarked graves. Kent suggested that we move the plots they purchased a bit to avoid the area. Arden will call them sort it out. Kent thanked Arden for his work on it. Vouchers/ Review/ Approve • V ouchers were reviewed by the Board. • Kent made a motion to approve vouchers, 23142-23186 Scott 2nd. Carried. Set date for the next regular Board Meeting With the election on the 2nd Tuesday of August, it was asked to move the meeting to the third Tuesday, August 18th. The September meeting will need to be moved as well due to a conflict. Adjourn • Kent made a motion to adjourn at 6:51pm, Arden 2nd Carried.
