Meeting Minutes Plan Commission meeting July 24th, 2025 Meeting called to order by Scott at 7pm Members Present: Scott, Lisa, Tom, Kent, Absent: Tunde Approval of June 26, 2025, meeting minutes Lamont, Tom Carried Public: None Josh Miller from Cedar Corporation to present and review with the committee. Work on 2025 Comprehensive Plan • The draft Housing Chapter was completed, and Josh along with the members reviewed the goals, objectives, and policies. Objectives supporting agriculture that were addressed through the subdivision ordinance will be moved to the policies section. Planned Unit Development was explained by Josh. • Reviewed Draft Utilities and Community Facilities Chapter: o Introduction and utilities section covered, including SSA update for Menomonie area, stormwater, water supply (public/private wells), contamination, electricity, natural gas, renewable energy, telecommunications, and broadband. o Community facilities review included local government operations, schools (Menomonie district and private), library, police and law enforcement (Dunn County Sheriff's Office), fire and EMS (Menomonie Rural Fire/EMS), healthcare, childcare, elder care, seven cemeteries, and parks/recreation/open space. ▪ Elderly care needs to be added to section. • Scott handed out an updated Cultural Resources list that had been reviewed and edited by Sofie Doane from the Dunn County Historical Society.
