He also said it is a distraction to the players. He proposed removing the booth, replacing that area with concrete and removing the belt off of the backstop. The Lions Club had donated the score booth Mr. Mendoza said they had no problem having it removed. Mr. Medoza suggested putting a bench there later. Board members agreed with the idea. They would like to remove the booth before the next Little League season starts. Concrete would be poured in the area where the score booth was, and the belt on the backstop would be taken down. The board will further investigate the cost of the concrete. Trustee Brian Miller wanted more time to follow up on the insurance for the park caretaker until the next meeting. Trustee Jennifer Morgan plans to update the forms for the rental agreements for the east hall, the park and the Senior Citizens Park. Trustee Morgan had contacted Hall’s Appliance Service to look at the stainless steel commercial refrigerator in the pavilion kitchen as well as the refrigerators for both concession stands. The refrigerator was not keeping up with food temperatures at the Sierra Buckles fundraiser held on Saturday. The white refrigerators from both concession stands were moved to the pavilion kitchen on Friday. Trustee Morgan noted that if the commercial refrigerator could not be repaired, the Village would have to purchase one quickly. A Park Committee was scheduled for Monday, October 5 at 6:00 PM to discuss the park and east hall rental agreements, possible purchase of a commercial refrigerator, removal of the score booth and the Halloween Party and Hayride. The next village board meeting will be held Monday, October 5, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the village hall. Motion made by Jennifer Morgan, seconded by Brian Gleason, to adjourn at 8:02 PM. Motion carried. Respectfully submitted, Paula J. Parks Village Clerk
