Parks and Recreation Board — Minutes

PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD COUNCIL ROOM, CITY HALL WEDNESDAY, MAY 20, 2026 4:00 P.M. Meeting called to order by President Neville at 4:05 PM. Roll call: Bill Neville, Mandy Krejci, Jake Ormond, and Julie Simek. Absent: Sue Voigt, Robin Harder and Ryan Tews. Also present: Regan Barth and Nolan Matson. No changes were requested of the November 4th, 2025 minutes; therefore, they will be filed with the City Clerk as presented. Appearances: None A report by the city Recreation Director was provided. There have been over 12 programs over the spring. A separate report was provided detailing the programs. Included were 425 participants in all age categories. A report by the Parks Director was provided. Trees have been removed from the parks as needed along with mowing operations. The roof on the south shelter in Schuster Park has been completed. Work on the Listeman ballfield is being done to prepare for summer play. Waiting for weather to dry up in order to provide the rubber mulch around the playground equipment. Hope to have the new Cliff’s park shelter up by September of this year. Discussion and action on Music in the Park on Wednesday’s from 6:00-8:00 PM in June and July. Motion Ormond, second Simek to approve the events. Voice vote taken. All Aye. Discussion and action on hanging a banner on the tennis court fence, facing Hwy 10 with dates of Music in the Park. Motion by Kejci and 2nd by Ormond to approve. Voice vote taken. All aye. Motion carried. Motion by Simek to adjourn. Second by Krejci. Voice vote taken. Motion carried.
