Meenon Town Board Meeting Minutes January 20, 2025 The regular monthly meeting was called to order at 6:36 p.m. by Supervisor O’Brien. Chairman Sybers was not in attendance. Notice was posted in accordance with Wis. Stats. 19.84 Open Meeting Law. On a motion by Strese, seconded by O’Brien, the agenda order was approved as presented. Next meeting will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, 6:30 p.m. O’Brien shared concerns about the signs on Leghorn Drive regarding pedophiles. O’Brien read a letter that was sent to a local realtor by a client who passed on the home due to the situation. The County enforces state regulations of the pedophile act, which was created in 1993, we cannot supersede that. O’Brien shared some research with the board that he has found. The registry of sex offenders can be found on the State of Corrections website. Realtors are loosing sales due to this. Everything is in place for the Township (ordinance), we cannot enforce. The Board needs to meet as a full board to go thru the ordinance line by line and get it approved. Are the signs in the zoning? Treasurer’s report was presented for approval. Motion by O’Brien to approve the Treasurer’s report as presented, seconded by Strese. Motion carried. Supervisors Reports: O’Brien will work with C. Studeman on cutting trees. Strese spent 3-4 days working on the roads with the boom mower. He also mentioned that the tractor slides on side slopes. Motion by Strese to pay monthly bills as presented, seconded by O’Brien. Motion carried. Adjourned at 7:14 P.M.
