Village of Kohler Regular Village Board Meeting August 17, 2026 Call to Order – Village President Thomas Schnettler called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Roll Call was taken. Present: Thomas Schnettler, John Ewert, Michael Wandschneider, Brett Edgerle, Tracy Lyons, Laurie Lindow and Houston Hoskins. Also present: Village Attorney Mike Bauer. Staff members present: Mike Kitzerow, Shawn Splivalo and Cindi Gamb. Items of Concern Regarding the Agenda, Including Public Comment – none. Approval of Meeting Minutes from July 20, 2026 – Motion by Michael Wandschneider, second by Tom Schnettler to approve the meeting minutes from July 20, 2026. Motion carried. Business 1. The Finance Committee Recommends the Village Board Approve the Following: a. July 2026 Revenue and Expense Reports, Bank Reconciliation, and Journal Entries – Motion by John Ewert, second by Michael Wandschneider to approve the July 2026 Revenue and Expense Reports, Bank Reconciliation, and Journal Entries. Motion carried. b. Ordinance No. 2026-7, An Ordinance Repealing and Recreating Chapter 5.16 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Kohler, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, Regarding Intoxicating Liquors and Fermented Malt Beverages c. Ordinance No. 2026-8, An Ordinance Repealing Chapter 10.22 and Repealing and Recreating Chapter 10.86 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Kohler, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, Regarding Offenses Involving Alcoholic Beverages d. Ordinance No. 2026-9, An Ordinance Repealing Chapter 8.10 and Creating Chapter 10.26 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Kohler, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, Regarding Nude Erotic Dancing in Licensed Establishments e. Ordinance No. 2026-10, An Ordinance Creating Chapter 10.23 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Kohler, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, Regarding After Hours Presence on Licensed Establishments Items b-e were tabled at the Finance Committee meeting. f. New Hires for Recreation Department – Motion by John Ewert, second by Laurie Lindow to approve the Recreation Department new hires as presented. Motion carried. 2. The Planning Commission recommends the Village Board approve the following: a. Building Permit for New Signage at Kalista, The Shops at Woodlake b. Building Permit for New Signage at Ann Sacks, The Shops at Woodlake Motion by Tom Schnettler, second by Brett Edgerle to approve items a and b for building permits for new signage at Kalista and Ann Sacks. Motion carried. c. Building Permit for Kohler Co. for Aerator Shed at Woodlake – Motion by Tom Schnettler, second by Michael Wandschneider to approve the building permit for Kohler Co. for Aerator Shed at Woodlake. The motion was withdrawn. Motion by Tom Schnettler, second by Michael Wandschneider to table this item until more information on the shed and aerator are received. Motion carried. 3. Update on Possible Village Land Swap with Kohler Co. – a Letter of Intent was received from Kohler Co.
