Village Board — Minutes

Village of Kohler Special Village Board Meeting April 28, 2026 President Thomas Schnettler called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Roll call was taken: Tom Schnettler, John Ewert, Michael Wandschneider, Brett Edgerle, Laurie Lindow and Houston Hoskins were present. Tracy Lyons was absent. Village Attorney Mike Bauer was present. Staff members present: Mike Kitzerow and Cindi Gamb. Items of concern regarding the agenda, including public comment – none. Business 1. Village Board and Standing Committee organization and appointments to Special Committees – Motion by Michael Wandschneider, second by John Ewert to approve the appointments. Motion carried. • Property Committee – Houston Hoskins • Board of Review – Trace Volpe and Matt Kautzer • Board of Zoning Appeals – Tom Hilke and Randy Kraemer • Emergency Management Committee – Houston Hoskins • Library Board – Kya Diehl and Laurie Lindow • Recreation Committee – Brett Edgerle (Chairperson), Kyle Gebler, Corinne Wicklund, Angie Counsel and Kohler School District Athletic Director • Sex Offender Residence Board – Jeff Herold • Tourism Promotion and Development Committee – Brett Edgerle and Justin Gephart 2. President Schnettler announced the Village Board was going into Closed Session pursuant to Wisconsin State Statute 19.85(1)(e) for the purposes of deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons requires a closed session – negotiation of property transfer – Motion by Tom Schnettler, second by Michael Wandschneider to go into closed session. A roll call vote was taken: John Ewert – aye, Michael Wandschneider – aye, Brett Edgerle – aye, Tracy Lyons – absent, Laurie Lindow – aye, Houston Hoskins – aye, Tom Schnettler – aye. Motion carried. Motion by Michael Wandschneider, second by John Ewert to return to open session. Motion carried. 3. The Village Board will reconvene into open session and may take action on items considered in closed session – no action taken.
