AGENDA SUMMARY SHEET
MEETING DATE: 6/9/26 TITLE: Disposition 627 Maxon Street Property
AGENDA SECTION: DISCUSSION-INFORMATION
PRESENTER: Kathy Schlieve, Administrator
DEPARTMENT GOAL(S) SUPPORTED (if applicable) FISCAL IMPACT
Economic Vitality -
ISSUE SUMMARY:
After completing a sealed bid process for disposition of 627 Maxon Street, the sole bid to the City received to purchase
this property was withdrawn and there are no bids for the property. Staff have worked with a known developer to identify
alternative approaches. The attached offer to purchase was received from Valido Homes. The developer is proposing the
sale of the land for $1 in exchange for a guarantee that a 1,200 to 1,300 square foot two -bed, two-bath home would be
constructed on the property tha t would have a two -car garage. Timeline to construct would be yet this year with the
home expected to list a sale price of $320,000. This is an alternative approach to attempting to sell land at cost and
guarantees that improved value is added to the lot. This will be a discussion item only with a vote to approve/deny at the
June COW meeting.
