Regular Board Meeting — Minutes

TOWN of BELVIDERE REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 11, 2026, 7:00 PM Cochrane VFW Post 10406 Chairman Ron Speltz called the Regular Town meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Chairman present and both Town Supervisors are appearing by “PHONE-IN.” (See Resolution 2013-1 dated and approved on February 12, 2013 to appear and vote at Town meetings.) Also 2 residents are present. The meeting date was noticed in the Buffalo County News and the full agenda posted per WI Statutes 19.84 on Thursday, August 6, 2026. MINUTES-A Motion by Supervisor Lee Engfer was made to approve the Minutes as provided to board members in lieu of reading aloud. Supervisor Scott Rolbiecki seconded the motion. Carried. TREASURER’S REPORT: Treasurer Barbara Brommer presented the General Checking Treasurer’s report and Investment Summary. Balance on hand as of tonight is $158,809.56 in the General Checking Account. Scott made a Motion to accept the Treasurer’s report as presented and Lee seconded the motion. Motion carried. BILLS-The Clerk presented the bills for payment. Scott made a Motion to pay the bills as presented and Lee seconded. Motion carried. DRIVEWAY PERMIT – 2026-03: Matt Benke (presently a field access road). Lee inspected and determined no culvert was needed. Motion to approve by Lee with Scott seconding. Carried. MAPLEWOOD LANE: NO ACTION – Waiting for survey (not submitted) to be approved by County. EMERGENCY SIREN: Lee was contacted by Federal Siren (Dan) with an additional estimate for installation - $9,300.00. This was missed with the previous estimates. Legal work is pending for Easement on residents property where to be installed. ROADS: Ron reported that the mulched seeding on Rose Valley Dugway is growing good. The Board discussed options to complete brushing of trees needed on Rose Valley Road this year. The next Regular Board Meeting will be on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2026 at 7 PM. A resident questioned the status of the Town’s Land Comprehensive Plan. Buffalo County is in the process of updating the County Plan (hoping for County Board approval this fall). After that the Town will update our plan. After no further public comment, at 7:15 pm, Lee made a motion to adjourn the Meeting with Scott seconding. Motion carried.
