Budget Hearing — Minutes

TOWN of BELVIDERE 2024 BUGET HEARING & SPECIAL TOWN MEETING November 14, 2023, 7 PM Cochrane VFW Post 10406 Chairman Ron Speltz called the Budget Hearing to order with Supervisor Ron Kazmierczak in attendance. Board member Lee Engfer was absent. No residents in attendance. The Proposed 2024 Budget was published October 26, 2023 in the Buffalo County News and posted per WI Statutes. The proposed Budget was presented with Town Property Tax Levy - $77,023. Sharen Revenue will increase 31.85% - $131,669. With no comments or questions Supervisor Ron Kaz made a Motion to close at 7:01 pm. Chairman Speltz seconded the Motion. Motion carried. At 7:01 pm a Special Town Meeting was called to order by Chairman Ron Speltz for the following purposes: 1) Approve 2024 highway expenditures: Supervisor Ron Kaz made a Motion to approve the 2024 Highway Expenditures in the amount of $312,190.00 with Chairman Speltz seconding. Motion carried. 2) Resolution 2023-03 “To Exceed State spending limits on Town Roads in 2024: Supervisor Ron Kaz made a motion to adopt Resolution 2023-03 to $350,000 in lieu of the $154,100 limit. Chairman Speltz seconded the Motion. Motion carried 2 Ayes & 0 Nays & 1 Absent. Resolution signed and attested to by the Town Clerk. 3) Supervisor Kazmierczak made a Motion to adopt the 2023 Town Levy to be paid in 2024 at $77,023.00 with Chairman Speltz seconding. Motion carried. Supervisor Kazmierczak made a Motion to close the Special Town Meeting with Chairman Speltz seconding at 7:03 pm. Motion carried.
