Caucus Meeting — Minutes

2023 CAUCUS - Town of Belvidere January 17, 2023 – 7 PM Cochrane VFW Post 10406 Chairman Ron Speltz called the 2023 Caucus to order. One resident in attendance and Town Board. Ron appointed Brian Michaels and Barbara Brommer as tellers. CAUCUS NOMINATION RESULTS: CHAIRMAN (1) – Ron Kazmierczak nominated Ron Speltz. Lee Engfer 2nd the motion. After no other nominations, Lee Engfer made a Motion to close the nominations. Ron Kazmierczak seconded the Motion – Motion carried. SUPERVISORS (2) – Deborah Ruff nominated Ron Kazmierczak and Lee Engfer 2nd the motion. After no other nominations, Lee Engfer made a Motion to close the nominations. Barbara Brommer 2nd the Motion – Motion carried Barbara Brommer nominated Lee Engfer and Ron Kazmierczak 2nd the motion. After no other nominations, Ron Speltz made a motion to close nominations. Motion was seconded by Barbara Brommer. Motion carried. It was noted that with the passing of the November 3, 2020 Referendum, The Town Clerk and Town Treasurer are appointed and not elected. At 7:05 pm Ron Kazmierczak made a Motion to close the 2023 Town of Belvidere CAUCUS. Lee Engfer seconded the Motion. Motion carried. Deborah Ruff, Town Clerk, delivered the Declaration of Candidacy to the Town Board candidates for signing. All were signed and returned tonight. Respectfully submitted, Deborah M Ruff, Town Clerk
