Special Town Board Meeting — Minutes

TOWN OF LANARK PROCEEDINGS OF THE PUBLIC BUDGET HEARING/SPECIAL TOWN MEETING/TOWN BOARD MEETING WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2025 Posted: Town website, Town Hall, Badger Cemetery, and Clinton/Spring Creek Rd All stood for the Pledge of Allegiance Board members Mike Pagel, Bill McKee, Peggy Kane were present as well as the Clerk Kim Beaudoin, and 0 residents. A Public Hearing was held at the Town Hall on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. The hearing was called to order by Chairperson M. Pagel at 7:00 p.m. The 2026 Proposed Budget was distributed and reviewed. Motion to close the Hearing by B McKee, seconded by P Kane and carried by voice vote at 7:10 p.m. (4-0-0 in favor, none opposed) A Special Town Meeting followed. The Meeting was called to order at 7:11 p.m. by M. Pagel. Motion by M Pagel to adopt the Town Tax Levy for 2025 payable 2026 of $295,424 ($1.425per thousand valuation), seconded by P Kane and carried by voice vote at 7:14p.m. (4-0-0 in favor, none opposed). Motion to close the Town Meeting by M Pagel seconded by B McKee and carried by voice vote at 7:14 p.m. (4-0-0 in favor, none opposed) The Special Town Board Meeting followed. The Meeting was called to order at 7:15 p.m. by Chairperson M. Pagel. 1. Motion by B McKee to adopt the 2026 Town Budget of $749,604.20, seconded by M. Pagel and carried 3-0-0. 2. The Board discussed the refuse charge for 2025 payable 2026. Motion by M. Pagel seconded by P Kane and carried 3-0-0 to set the refuse charge for 2025 payable 2026 at $234.71. 3. The Board discussed the fire number sign charge for 2025 payable 2026. Motion by M Pagel seconded by P Kane and carried 3-0-0 to set the fire number sign charge for 2025 payable 2026 at $47.77. 4.
