Public Works / Streets / Recycling CommiƩee January 6,2026 – 4:00 pm Minutes prepared by: Peter Schaīner The meeƟng was called to order at 4:00 pm by Peter Schaīner. Roll call: Peter Schaīner. Barb Schmidtknecht, David Endres. Others present: Mayor Ben Adank, Jeī Puterbaugh, Travis Williamson, Brady Abramson, Judith Ganger, Sharal Kawalsky, Karen. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. CiƟzens commented on Abandoning JusƟn Hill Street. QuesƟons on alternate side street parking during snow events. Water run oī near Cat Tails. MoƟon Barb, second Daved to approve the minutes of the October 28, 2025, meeƟng. MoƟon carried and the minutes were approved. The abandonment of JusƟn Hill Street has been discussed over many past meeƟngs of the Public Works / Streets / Recycling CommiƩee. AŌer much discussion and obtaining a legal descripƟon of the road right of way, the original contract entered by the City is the determinaƟon of the commiƩee to not pursue abandoning JusƟn Hill Street. MoƟon Barb second David to forward a recommendaƟon to the council to approve Sand Hauling Ordinance #72. MaƟon carried 2 – 1 with Barb and Peter voƟng yes and David voƟng no MoƟon Barb second David to forward a recommendaƟon to the council to approve regulaƟng sewer use and user charges Ordinance #13D. MaƟon carried. Future meeting items: Large recycling pick up. Set date with contractor. Emergency operations plane. Finallies names and job descriptions. Forward copy to county. Houses with springs going to sewer. Develop a list. Implement a plan to eliminate spring water from being pumped into city sewer. Locate / repair curb stops on Justin Hill Street Consider weir to put snow. Consider not putting it on the new black top at park. Motion Barb, second Daved to adjourn, Motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 5:15 pm.
