Public Works / Streets / Recycling June 3, 2025 – 5:05 PM Minutes prepared by: Peter Schaīner The meeƟng was called to order at 5:05 pm by Peter Schaīner. Roll call: David Endres, Barb Schmidtknecht, Peter Schaīner. Others present: Mayor Ben Adank. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. MoƟon Barb, second David to approve the minutes of the June 3, 2025 meeƟng. MoƟon carried and minutes were approved. MoƟon Peter, second Barb to forward a recommendaƟon to council to raise garbage bag fees from $3.50 to $4.00 dollars. MoƟon carried unanimously. Wastewater treatment plant, study complete UV treatment will not work in Ɵmes oī high water we will need to use more chemicals. Will need to prove out during the next high-water event. The DNR is aware and no further acƟon is required now. Planned public works projects for 2025. 17 projects, 7 complete, remainder are in progress or need to be completed later in the year. Good news, all came in at or under budget. Road raƟng coming dew and will aīect long term planning. Recycling center hours. Need more informaƟon. Recycling center is becoming a large money drain. We need to look at and consider alternaƟves. Possible portable / removable speed bumps. Look into price and legal issues. MoƟon David, second Bard to adjourn, meeƟng adjourned at 6:20.
