TOWN OF LANARK
PROCEEDINGS OF THE MONTHLY TOWN BOARD MEETING
Monday, October 7, 2024
The Lanark Town Board met at the Town Hall on Monday, October 7th at 7:00 p.m. Chairperson Mike
Pagel, Supervisor Elmer Garms, Supervisor Bill McKee, Clerk Kim Beaudoin, Deputy Clerk Cheryl
Leatherman, Treasurer Theresa Maves, employee Jim Williams, John Droske, and 1 resident.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairperson M. Pagel. All stood for the Pledge of
Allegiance.
1. The minutes of the Town Board Meeting of September 9th, 2024 were reviewed. Motion by B
McKee seconded by E Garms and carried 3-0-0 to approve the minutes as written.
2. Public input:
3. There were no building permits, zoning permits and survey.
4. There were no county violations and no local violations to be discussed.
5. GCAC Report: John Droske was present and gave updates.
6. The Board discussed deputizing Sharon Danke. B McKee made a motion to deputize
Sharon Danke to help with in person absentees, E Garms seconded and carried 3-0-0.
7. The Board discussed the preliminary budget. M Pagel made a motion to publish as it stands
and B McKee seconded and carried 3-0-0.
8. The Board discussed the sale of the Asphalt kettle. Motion by B McKee to approve the sale
of the old asphalt kettle, E Garms seconded and 3-0-0.
9. The Board discussed Pipe Road for next year budget. Motion by M Pagel to have the 3
inches of asphalt for the Pipe Road construction, seconded by B McKee to approve 3-0-0.
10. The September’s 2024 treasurer’s report was reviewed. There was $6,614.79 in checking,
$340,740.83 in money market, and $42,045.64 LGIP fund was reviewed and approved
unanimous consent.
11. The Check listing by Bank Account – 9/9/2024 – 10/7/2024 was reviewed and approved by -
unanimous consent.
12. The Balance Sheet for September 2024 was reviewed and approved by unanimous consent.
13. The 2024 Budget Overview was reviewed and approved by unanimous consent.
14. B McKee made motion to adjourn seconded by E Garms and carried a 3-0-0, 7:55 p.m.
