City of Fox Lake Council Meeting Minutes Wednesday , September 2 , 202 6 at 6:30 p.m. The regular meeting of the City of Fox Lake Common Council was held on Wednesday, September 2 , 202 6 , at 7:58 p.m., in the council chambers. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Tom Bednarek . Followed by the Pledge of Allegiance the roll call was taken with A lderpersons Dan Ault, Marcy Benz, Peter Hartzheim , Joe Horetzki, Dennis Linke and Angela Thomas present. Also attending were City Administrator Kelly Crombie , DPW Superintendent Chris Thurk, Police Chief Duane Olbinski and City Clerk Jenny Quirk . The clerk certified open meeting laws have been complied with. Approve Minutes: Motion by Benz , seconded by Thomas to approve the minutes of the August 5 , 202 6 council meeting as written . Motion carried with a voice vote. Public comments on agenda items or other matters : Mayor opens the meeting to public comments on agenda items or other matters. No public comments were made. Consent Agenda: Motion by Benz , seconded by Thomas to p ay the bills, as audited, for accounts payable-check #47508 through #47597 totaling $161,704.31 (including ACH withdrawals) and payroll checks for the month of August 2026, totaling $59,292.46. Motion carried with a voice vote. Fox Lake Wastewater Control Commission Appointment: Motion by Thomas, seconded by Ault to approve the Mayor ’s appointment of Peter Hartzheim to the Fox Lake Wastewater Control Commission for a term of 3 years, ending August 2029. Hartzheim abstained from vote . Motion carried with a voice vote. Plat of Cayuse Court Estates Phase Two: Motion by Hartzheim, seconded by Thomas to approve Plat of Cayuse Court Estates Phase Two. Vote in favor: Benz, Hartzheim, Horetzki, Linke, Thomas and Ault. Motion passed. Resolution 1 6 -2026: Motion by Benz, seconded by Horetzki to approve Resolution 16-2026, a resolution authorizing the Mayor and Clerk to execute a quit claim deed deeding joint driveway at 107 West State Street to neighboring property at 103 West State Street. Motion carried with a voice vote. Public Hearing on Class B Intoxicating Liquor and Fermented Malt Beverage Licenses: Motion by Benz, seconded by Thomas to open the public hearing on the Class B intoxicating liquor and fermented malt beverage license applications for the period ending June 30, 2027. Motion carried with a voice vote. Motion by Thomas, seconded by Hartzheim to close the public hearing on the Class B intoxicating liquor and fermented malt beverage license applications for the period ending June 30, 2027. Motion carried with a voice vote. Motion by Thomas, seconded by Hartzheim to grant the Class B intoxicating liquor and fermented malt beverage license application from Trappers Landing of Fox Lake LLC. Agent Travis Gitzel, located at 223 W. State St. for the period beginning September 11, 2026 and ending June 30, 2027. Motion carried with a voice vote. Motion by Hartzheim, seconded by Horetzki to grant the Class B intoxicating liquor and fermented malt beverage license application from The Fox Lake Fire Department Agent Steven Hopp, located at 246 E. State St. for the period beginning September 3, 2026 and ending June 30, 2027. Motion carried with a voice vote. With no other business to come before the Council, motion by Benz , seconded by Thomas to adjourn. Motion carried with a voice vote. Meeting adjourned at 8:04 p.m.
