City of Fox Lake Council Meeting Minutes Wednesday , July 1 , 202 6 at 6:30 p.m. The regular meeting of the City of Fox Lake Common Council was held on Wednesday, July 1 , 202 6 , at 6:30 p.m., in the council chambers. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Tom Bednarek . Followed by the Pledge of Allegiance the roll call was taken with A lderpersons Dan Ault, Marcy Benz, Peter Hartzheim , Dennis Linke and Angela Thomas present. Joe Horetzki was absent. Also attending were City Administrator Kelly Crombie , DPW Superintendent Christopher Thurk , Police Chief Duane Olbinski and City Clerk Jenny Quirk . The clerk certified open meeting laws have been complied with. Approve Minutes: Motion by Linke , seconded by Thomas to approve the minutes of the June 17 , 202 6 council meeting as written . Motion carried with a voice vote. Public comments on agenda items or other matters : Mayor opens the meeting to public comments on agenda items or other matters. No public comments were made. Consent Agenda: Motion by Linke , seconded by Hartzheim to p ay the bills, as audited, for accounts payable- check #47355 through #47441 totaling $278,658.14 (including ACH withdrawals) and payroll checks #63510 through #6262624 checks, totaling $65,441.23. Motion carried with a voice vote. Public hearing on conditional use permit for 720 West State Street : Motion by Benz , seconded by Thomas at 6:33 pm to open public hearing on conditional use permit for 720 West State Street to operate a conditional use permit for tourist rooming house. Motion carried with a voice vote. Motion by Benz, seconded by Hartzheim at 6:35 pm to close public hearing on conditional use permit for 720 West State Street to operate a conditional use permit for tourist rooming house. Motion carried with a voice vote. Motion by Benz, seconded by Hartzheim to grant conditional use permit for 720 West State Street to operate a tourist rooming house. Motion carried with a voice vote. Resolution 13-2026 : Motion by Ault , seconded by Hartzheim to approve resolution 13-2026, a resolution regarding charges for garbage and recycling. Vote in favor: Benz, Hartzheim, Linke , Thomas and Ault. Motion passed. With no other business to come before the Council, motion by Ault , seconded by Thomas to adjourn. Motion carried with a voice vote. Meeting adjourned at 6:38 p.m.
