City of Fox Lake Council Meeting Minutes Wednesday , March 4 , 202 6 at 6:30 p.m. The regular meeting of the City of Fox Lake Common Council was held on Wednesday, March 4 , 202 6 , at 6:30 p.m., in the council chambers. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Tom Bednarek . Followed by the Pledge of Allegiance the roll call was taken with A lderpersons Dan Ault , Marcy Benz, Peter Hartzheim , Joe Horetzki, Dennis Linke and Angela Thomas present. Also attending were City Administrator Kelly Crombie , DPW Superintendent Christopher Thurk , Police Chief Duane Olbinski and City Clerk Jenny Quirk . The clerk certified open meeting laws have been complied with. Approve Minutes: Motion by Hartzheim , seconded by Thomas to approve the minutes of the February 1 8 , 202 6 council meeting as written . Motion carried with a voice vote. Public comments on agenda items or other matters : Mayor opens the meeting to public comments on agenda items or other matters. A motion was made by Hartzheim, seconded by Ault with a Resolution thanking Council President Dennis Linke and making March 5, 2026 “Dennis Linke Day ” in the City of Fox Lake. Motion carried with a voice vote. Consent Agenda: Motion by Benz , second ed by Hartzheim to p ay the bills, as audited, for accounts payable- check #47017 through #47093 totaling $563,409.32 (including ACH withdrawals) and payroll checks #63304 through #63349 checks, totaling $48,869.68 . Motion carried with a voice vote. Resolution 5-2026 : Motion by Hartzheim, seconded by Ault to approve resolution 5-2026, a resolution providing the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Fox Lake financing for economic development planning in conjunction with facilitating the Fox Lake Construction Task Force . Motion carried with a voice vote. Ordinance 2026-1 : Motion by Ault , seconded by Hartzheim to approve an ordinance creating ordinance 314-14 K, an ordinance establishing minimum license use requirements for alcohol licenses. Vote in favor: Ault , Hartzheim, Horetzki, Linke and Thomas. Opposed: Benz. Motion passed. Dodge County and City of Fox lake cost share agreement : Motion by Linke , seconded by Hartzheim to approve Dodge County and City of Fox Lake cost share agreement for the reconstruction of County Trunk Highway A. Motion carried with a voice vote. Resolution 6-2026 : Motion by Ault , seconded by Linke to approve resolution 6-2026, a resolution increasing rates the City of Fox Lake charges to the Fox Lake Wastewater Commission . Motion carried with a voice vote. RDA Appointment : Motion by Benz , seconded by Hartzheim to appoint Angela Thomas to the RDA to fill the unexpired term of Sandy Quirk. Motion carried with a voice vote. Construction Task Force Appointment s : Motion by Ault, seconded by Linke to a ppoint the Construction Task Force as follows: Angela Thomas as chair, Marcy Benz, Sonja Schmit, Steve Christian and Tim Nehls. Motin carried with a voice vote. With no other business to come before the Council, motion by Linke , seconded by Thomas to adjourn. Motion carried with a voice vote. Meeting adjourned at 6: 4 2 p.m.
