Town Board Meeting — Minutes

TOWN OF LANARK PROCEEDINGS OF THE MONTLY TOWN BOARD MEETING MONDAY, JANAURY 8, 2024 The Lanark Town Board met at the Town Hall on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. Chairperson Mike Pagel, Supervisor Elmer Garms, Clerk Kim Beaudoin, Treasurer Theresa Maves, employee Jim Williams and 2 residents were present. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairperson M. Pagel. All stood for the Pledge of Allegiance. 1. The minutes of the Town Board Meeting of December 12, 2023 were reviewed. Motion by E Garms seconded by Mike Pagel and carried 2-0-0 to approve the minutes as written. 2. Public input: Barry Jacowski ?? None 3. There was one building permit, no zoning permits and no surveys to be reviewed. 4. There was no county violations and no local violations to be discussed. 5. The Board discussed refuse charge adjustment request. Motion by M. Pagel seconded by E. Garms and carried a 2-0-0 to approve the refuse charge adjustment at presented. 6. The Board discussed the Weapon Control Ordinance 8-02 revision. This was tabled for more discussion and fact gathering. 7. The Board discussed paying Cheryl Leatherman on transfer at IBA. Motion by M. Pagel seconded by E. Garms and carried 2-0-0 to approve the paying of Cheryl Leatherman on transfer at IBA. 8. The Board discussed the purchase of textbook for Quickbooks class. Motion by M. Pagel seconded by E. Garms and carried 2-0-0 to approve the purchase of textbook for Quickbooks class as presented. 9. GCAC Report: John Droske was not present M. Pagel read his brief report. 10. The Board discussed the road work for 2024. No action was taken. 11. The Board discussed the proposal of sweeper for roads. This was tabled for more information and discussion. 12. The Board discussed the proposal of weights for John Deere tractor. M. Pagel said put on agenda to purchase weights next month for John Deere tractor to buy all 6 for $125 each. 13. The Board discussed the proposal of cell phone booster for shop. M. Pagel said put on agenda to purchase next month. 14. The December’s 2023 treasurer’s report was reviewed. There was $12,473.51 in checking and $836,444.25 in Money Market was reviewed and approved by unanimous consent. 15. The 2023 Budget Overview was reviewed and approved by unanimous consent. 16. The Check Listing by Bank Account-12/12/2023-1/8/2023 was reviewed and approved by unanimous consent. 17. The Balance Sheet for December 2023 was reviewed and approved by unanimous consent. 18. WTA magazine. 19. M.
