City of Fox Lake Minutes January 7, 2026 Mayor Tom Bednarek called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM. The pledge of allegiance was recited. Roll call was taken with Mayor Bednarek, Alders Ault, Linke, Hartzheim, Benz, Horetzki, Thomas. Also present were City Administrator Crombie, DPW Director Thurk, Chief Olbinski. Crombie certified the open meeting laws were complied with. Ault seconded by Linke moved to approve the minutes of the December 17, 2025. The motion carried on a unanimous voice vote. No citizens were present for public comment. Thomas seconded by Benz moved to approve the consent agenda. The motion carried on a unanimous voice vote. Thurk, Olbinski and Crombie presented their reports to the Council. Crombie discussed the 2026 pool sponsorship program. Crombie discussed the construction task force. Crombie discussed the coal chutes on State Street. Crombie discussed the City assessment contract. Crombie discussed a possible Saint Patrick ’s Day Family Fun Dance. Thomas seconded by Horetzki moved to adjourn. The motion carried on a unanimous voice vote at 6:54.
