Deer Committee Meeting Minutes from 07/16/2026 Meeting called to order at 18:05 hours by Citizen Member Scott Beyer Roll Call completed, Citizen Members Tom Hansen, Scott Beyer, Mike Kelnhofer, Trustee Cathy Hughes and Humane Officer Matt Atkinson. *note Humane Officer Atkinson left meeting at 18:09 hours to attend to serious canine injury call. Humane Officer Atkinson returned to the meeting at 19:00 hours. Pledge of Allegiance recited. Agenda motion to approve by Trustee Hughes and Mike Kelnhofer, passed unanimously. Public appearances were held, several persons spoke with suggestions to make the program more successful. Items 6, 7, 8 and 9 were discussed when Human Officer Atkinson returned from canine call. Item 10 was presented by Humane Officer Atkinson for clarification of duties concerning the deer program. Item 11 was discussed with positive suggestions from the meeting attendees to present to the Howard Village Board to consider adding to the program for additional hunting success. Item 12 No future meeting date was set at this time. Item 13 Motion to adjourn by Citizen member Scott Beyer, seconded by Trustee Hughes.
