BUDGET SCHEDULE 2026 Below is the schedule for the 2026 budget preparation and approval process: Tuesday, July 8: Budget worksheets distributed to Department Heads to begin budget preparation Tuesday, August 5: Budget worksheets returned to Finance Director for review and preparation of budget Monday, September 8: High level budget discussion with the Finance/Personnel Ad-Hoc Committee Thursday, September 18: High level budget discussion with the Finance/Personnel Ad-Hoc Committee Monday, September 29: Department Head meetings with Administrator and Village President Tuesday, October 7: Budget books distributed to Village Board and Department Heads Budget Workshops: Monday, October 20, 2025 – 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2025 – 5:00 p.m. (if needed) Monday, November 3: Publish budget Budget Hearing: November 18, 2025 – 6:30 p.m.
