COMMON COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS September 23, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Special Meeting Mayor Hauser, Presiding Present: Johnson, Mathson, Morris, Sendelbach, Solsrud, Sunday Public Works Director Mark Johnson and City Clerk-Treasurer Witte Council Member Sendelbach made a motion at 5:03 p.m. to go into Closed Session pursuant to Wisconsin Statue 19.85(1) (c), “Considering employment, promotion, compensation and performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the government body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility…”, specifically, for the purpose of interviewing applicants for the position of Operator in the Public Works Department. Council Member Morris seconded, and the motion carried on a roll call vote as follows: Ayes – Johnson, Mathson, Morris, Sendelbach, Solsrud, Sunday Nays – 0 Mayor Hauser brought the meeting back into open session at 6:30 p.m. by unanimous consent. Council Member Morris made a motion to hire Benjamin Ritter for the position of Operator in the Public Works Department at the rate of $22.00 per hour, with an increase to $23.00 per hour upon obtaining his commercial driver’s license; the completion of a Commercial Driver’s License Sponsorship Agreement; and a one- year probationary period.
