June 2026 Minutes Note: These are the proposed Minutes that will be approved at the next Board Meeting. Town of New Hope Regular Board Meeting Thursday, June 11, 2026 6:00 p.m. North New Hope Church, 845 County Road T North Members present: Chair Todd Knepfel, Supervisors Timm Raddatz and Ray Reser Also present: Treasurer Dorene Stolpa, Clerk Pat Zellmer, Dave Swenseon, Rev. Gregory Haugan, Kirsten Olson 1. Call to order the Regular April Town Board meeting, and Pledge of Allegiance. The Regular June Town Board meeting was called to order by Chair Todd Knepfel at 6:00 pm, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. 2. Review/Approval of minutes (draft posted on website; emailed to Board prior to meeting): a. Regular Board Meeting, May 21, 2026. Supervisor Reser motioned to accept the May minutes as written, seconded by Supervisor Raddatz. Motion carried 3:0. 3. Persons who wish to address the Board. a. Rev. Greg Haugen and Kirsten Olson received the blueprints for Our Savior Cemetery, and requested that the Town take over maintaining the cemetery, with an undisclosed amount for remuneration. Chair Knepfel gave an overview of the history, including the right-of-way issue and an offer from South New Hope Church to maintain the cemetery. Knepfel will contact South New Hope, and Haugen(gregjhaugen@yahoo.gov, 920-685- 0319) will contact the County on the next step in abandoning the cemetery. b. Dave Swenson requested road shoulder repair along a heavily used field access on Waller Road, and trimming trees along Waller. Knepfel will contact Gordondale. 4. Road Report. a. Swenson is brushing on Sunset, Bestul, and Trout Creek. The Board will trim trees on Krogwold, and repair a stop sign on Sunset/Krogwold. b. 2026-27 Snow Removal: The Board is investigating options on snow. 5. New Business and Announcements. a. Town Hall. Electrical wires will be removed by Alliant for building relocation. The acreage will remain Town property as a potential building site. b. Fire Number correction: Fire numbers along County Roads A, T, and ZZ were corrected in compliance with County (eliminated N or S preceding the number); residents were notified. Mail service/mailing addresses are not affected c. Town Website. A contract with Town Web Design was signed, with the five-year annual fee reduced from $1200 to $1000. The renovated website should be up by August. d. GEC Building Inspector. A contract was signed with GEC to serve as the new building inspector. Pending State approval, new permit requirements will be in place by August 1. A letter will be sent to residents with information on permits and associated fees, as well as information on the town-wide revaluation process and website revision. e. 2026 Elections. i. Fall Primary Public Test, 9:00 am Saturday, August 1. ii. Fall Primary, 7:00 am – 8:00 pm Tuesday, August 11 June 2026 Minutes Note: These are the proposed Minutes that will be approved at the next Board Meeting. 6. Payment of Bills. June bills for New Hope totaled $14,323.86. Supervisor Reser moved to pay those bills, seconded by Supervisor Raddatz. Motion carried 3:0. 7. Set Dates for: a. July Regular Town Meeting: Tuesday, July 14, 6:00 pm. b. Open Book: Monday, August 31 (1:00-3:00 North New Hope Church), pending assessment roll completion by the Assessor and County Register of Deeds. c. Second BOR Meeting: 4:00-8:00 pm (tentative), Tuesday, September 8, 2026. See Town website for more information. 8. Adjournment: Supervisor Raddatz moved to adjourn, seconded by Supervisor Reser.
