May 2026 Minutes Note: These are the proposed Minutes that will be approved at the next Board Meeting. Town of New Hope Regular Board Meeting Thursday, May 21, 2026 6:10 p.m. North New Hope Church, 845 County Road T North Members present: Chair Todd Knepfel, Supervisors Timm Raddatz and Ray Reser Also present: Treasurer Dorene Stolpa, Clerk Pat Zellmer, Dave Swenseon 1. Call to order the Regular April Town Board meeting, and Pledge of Allegiance. The Regular May Town Board meeting was called to order by Chair Todd Knepfel at 6:10 pm, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. 2. Review/Approval of minutes (draft posted on website; emailed to Board prior to meeting): a. Regular Board Meeting, April 21, 2026. Supervisor Reser motioned to accept the April minutes as written, seconded by Supervisor Raddatz. Motion carried 3:0. 3. Persons who wish to address the Board. No one appeared. 4. Town Building Inspector. a. General Engineering Company (GEC, Portage, WI). The ordinance for building inspector services was amended per State requirements. Reser motioned to accept the Ordinance as redrafted, seconded by Raddatz. Motion carried 3:0. The signed amended ordinance will be forwarded to GEC, and posted on the town website. Once the ordinance is approved by the State, the Town will move forward on hiring GEC for building inspection. 5. Town Website a. Paulo Angelo, Town Web Design, LLC. Clerk Zellmer will contact Town Web Design with several questions, and complete the five-year contract (Board-approved). 6. Road Report. a. Two culverts will be repaired by Glodowskis from plow damage. b. Swenson is brushing work on Trout Creek, Krogwold to County Z, Hotvedt west to County A, Sunset Lake, Rustad, with Mizia in the future. c. 2026-27 Snow Removal: The Board is investigating options on snow removal in the upcoming winter, including purchase of used equipment and hire of a part-time plow driver. d. The annual road survey was completed May 3; data will be updated on the state WISLR site (Wisconsin Roads). e. Fire Number correction: Several fire numbers along County Road A include a letter, which will be corrected. Numbers on County Road ZZ were fixed. 7. New Business and Announcements. a. 2026 Elections. i. Fall Primary Public Test, 9:00 am Saturday, August 1. ii. Fall Primary, 7:00 am – 8:00 pm Tuesday, August 11 iii. General Election, Tuesday, November 3 b. Clerk Zellmer requested that a letter to residents be mailed including information on revaluation/BOR, the updated website, and building inspector (including schedule fees). 8. Payment of Bills. May bills for New Hope totaled $13,645.32. Supervisor Raddatz moved to pay those bills, seconded by Supervisor Reser. Motion carried 3:0. May 2026 Minutes Note: These are the proposed Minutes that will be approved at the next Board Meeting. 9. Set Dates for: a. June Regular Town Meeting: Thursday, June 11, 6:00 pm. b. Open Book: Monday, August 31 (1:00-3:00 North New Hope Church), pending assessment roll completion by the County. c. Second BOR Meeting: 4:00-8:00 pm (tentative), Tuesday, September 8, 2026. See Town website for more information (posted in late May). 10. Adjournment: Supervisor Raddatz moved to adjourn, seconded by Supervisor Reser. Motion carried 3:0. Meeting was adjourned at 7:31 pm.
