VPL Board Meeting Minutes
Library Board of Trustees-Verona Public Library
500 Silent Street Verona, WI 53593
Wednesday, September 2, 2026, 6:30 p.m.
Present: Hopp, Jones, Burkart, Conwell, Franke, Spencer
Absent: Miller, Harrison
Call to order: Hopp called the meeting to order at 6:31 p.m.
Approval of Minutes: A motion was made by Conwell, seconded by Franke, to approve the
Regular Meeting Minutes of August 5, 2026. Motion carried. Spencer motioned, seconded by
Jones, to approve the August 2026 invoices. Motion carried.
Public Comments: Slideshow and discussion from children’s summer program, led by
children’s department staff member.
City Council Liaison Report: None
Library Director’s Report:
1. “A New Moon Rises” Smithsonian programming.
2. Issues with new ILS system regarding circulation.
Old Business:
1. Discussion regarding 2027 budget.
Adjournment: A motion was made by Franke, seconded by Conwell, to adjourn. Motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 pm. The next meeting will be held on October 7th, at
6:30pm.
