MINUTES MONONA PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD Monona Community Center Wednesday August 19, 2026 3:00 PM Meeting available on Monona Community Media YouTube Channel at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzbMhtTeFmU The meeting of the Parks and Recreation Board for the City of Monona was called to order by Co-Chair Rachel Kugle at 3:09 pm Roll Call Present: Co-Chair Rachel Kugle, Ginger Jacobson-Reffner, Rachel Groman, Kelly Slack, Aaron Embury, Jeff Hinz, Pat Howell, Parks & Recreation Director Jake Anderson Absent: Chair Patrick DePula, Tony Gomez-Phillips, Approval of the Minutes Pat Howell made a motion seconded by Ginger Jacobsen Reffner to approve the July 15th, 2026 minutes as presented. Motion carried. Appearances: None Unfinished Business A. Capital Budget Discussion/Recommendation 2027-2031 Director Anderson presented capital budget items for years 2027-2031. The committee was in agreement with project rankings and year proposed. Jeff Hinz made a motion to recommend capital projects as proposed for Parks, Pool, & Community Center. Kelly Slack seconded the motion. Motion carried New Business: Director’s Report & Questions to Staff from Committee A. Missy Miller – Assist Director of Parks & Recreation B. Jake Anderson – Parks & Recreation Director Adjournment A motion to adjourn by Aaron Embury seconded by Pat Howell was carried at 3:59 pm.
