1Town of Spooner 1WASHBURN COUNTY – WISCONSIN April 14 2026 6:00pm Spooner Town Hall N6124 Blooming Vale Road, Spooner MINUTES REGULAR BOARD MEETING Call to Order: Meeting was called to order by Chairman Frankiewicz. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Members present: Chairman Gary Frankiewicz, Supervisor Jon Johnson , Treasurer Joan Avery, Clerk Betsy Lambert. Others present: Rick S., Mabi P., Nick D., Tammi M., Robert M., Karen S., Larry C., Michael P., Pat F., Danielle L. Minutes of March Regular Meeting: Motion to approve: Chairman Frankiewicz, Second Supervisor Johnson, motion passed. Treasurer’s Report: Have received Jan. and Dec. town portion of taxes, mobile home and lottery credit received. All accounts balanced. Communication: Notice of approval from county for zoning and conditional use permit requests for Dan B., Carl S., James B. Town clean up day May 16th 9am-1pm Open Book, waiting on assessor. Public Comments: Larry C., Bob M., Danielle L. concerns regarding Burch Barn liquor license, traffic noise etc. Mabi P. suggesting new Burch Barn owner meet with concerned neighbors. Nick D. (Burch Barn owner) discussion of Burch Barn events, plans etc. Old Business: None New Business: Approval of Burch Barn Liquor License, Motion by Supervisor Johnson to approve, second by Chairman Frankiewicz, Motion passed. Highway Update and Expenditures: Some complaints on plowing, Kauffman plow broke down, county was called in and missed some roads. Bid from Sleepy Hollow Mowing for roadside mowing. Cost will be more due to diesel fuel price. Will get bid for boat landing repairs. Supervisor Johnson applied and township has received a project award for Spooner Lake Rd. through LRIP of nearly $150,000.00 (Thank You!) Payment of Bills: Motion by Chairman Frankiewicz to approve the payment of bills Second by Supervisor Johnson motion carried unanimously. Next Regular Board Meeting Date: May 12 2026 6pm Future Agenda Items: Approval of AAA Sports Shop, Spooner Golf Club, Burch Barn liquor licenses.
