Town of Spooner WASHBURN COUNTY – WISCONSIN January 13 2026 6:00pm Spooner Town Hall N6124 Blooming Vale Road, Spooner MINUTES REGULAR BOARD MEETING Call to Order: Meeting was called to order by Chairman Frankiewicz. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Members present: Chairman Gary Frankiewicz, Supervisor Jon Johnson , Supervisor Chris Thompson, Treasurer Joan Avery, Clerk Betsy Lambert. Others present: Rick S., Mabi P. Minutes of December Regular Meeting: Motion to approve: Supervisor Johnson, Second Supervisor Thompson, motion passed. Treasurer’s Report: January settlements going out for taxing jurisdictions. Accounts are in good shape. Taxes coming in quickly. Communication: Annexation For Top O’ Wisconsin. Public Comments: Mabi P. asking where possible new jail would be. Old Business: None New Business: Motion and discussion of getting debit card for town treasurer and clerk to use. Motion for approval of debit card by Chairman Frankiewicz, Second by Supervisor Thompson, Motion passed. Accepting rezoning application of James Berger (Request to rezone 20.78 acres to residential recreational 1 & rezone 1.92 acres to commercial hwy. and attach to remaining 15.83 commercial hwy. parcel) Motion to approve by Supervisor Johnson, second by Supervisor Thompson, motion passed. Highway Update and Expenditures: Busy with salting, sanding, and plowing. Payment of Bills: Motion by Supervisor Johnson to approve the payment of bills Second by Supervisor Thompson motion carried unanimously. Next Regular Board Meeting Date: February 10th 2026 6pm Future Agenda Items: Discussion of hiring out brushing work.
