Town of Spooner WASHBURN COUNTY – WISCONSIN November 11 2025 6:07pm Spooner Town Hall N6124 Blooming Vale Road, Spooner MINUTES REGULAR BOARD MEETING Call to Order: Meeting was called to order by Chairman Frankiewicz. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Members present: Chairman Gary Frankiewicz, Supervisor Jon Johnson , Supervisor Chris Thompson, Treasurer Joan Avery, Clerk Betsy Lambert. Others present: Roger C., Mabi P. Minutes of October Regular Meeting: Motion to approve: Chairman Frankiewicz, Second Supervisor Johnson, motion passed. Treasurer’s Report: November will move money into money market account. Normal payment of bills. Communication: LRIP grant to finish Spooner Lake Road Public Comments: Mabi P. regarding changing of treasurer from elected to appointed requesting more timely notice to town and suggestion of stating while Joan is treasurer. Roger C. questions regarding plowing concerns and mailbox location Old Business: None New Business: Motion to approve tax levy as approved by electors for 2026. Motion to Approve by Supervisor Thompson, Second by Supervisor Johnson, Motion passed. Variance application from Jean and Rob O’Connor for structure. Asking for a 40 ft. setback instead of 50 ft. from Sleepy Lagoon Rd. and 92 ft. setback instead of 100 ft. from Cty. Hwy. H. Motion to approve by Supervisor Thompson, Second by Supervisor Johnson, motion passed. Board resolution to change Town of Spooner Treasurer from elected to appointed and to appoint Joan Avery. This resolution shall remain in effect as long as Joan Avery is treasurer. Motion to approve by Chairman Frankiewicz, Second by Supervisor Johnson, Motion passed. Discussion of 2025 expenditure budget to date. Highway Update and Expenditures: Yellow sands road completed and was done further back with no extra charge to town. Park Place completed, coming in a little less then what was bid. Payment of Bills: Motion by Supervisor Thompson to approve the payment of bills Second by Supervisor Johnson motion carried unanimously. Next Regular Board Meeting Date: December 9 2025 6pm Future Agenda Items:Spooner outlet road. Discussion of Chief election inspector to take over all election duties.
