Town of Spooner WASHBURN COUNTY – WISCONSIN October 14 2025 6pm Spooner Town Hall N6124 Blooming Vale Road, Spooner MINUTES REGULAR BOARD MEETING Call to Order: Meeting was called to order by Chairman Frankiewicz. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Members present: Chairman Gary Frankiewicz, Supervisor Jon Johnson , Treasurer Joan Avery, Clerk Betsy Lambert. Others present: Rick S., Nancy H., Pat I., Mabi P. Minutes of August Regular Meeting: Motion to approve: Supervisor Johnson, Second Chairman Frankiewicz, motion passed. Treasurer’s Report: November will move money into money market account. Bills paid and up to date. Treasurer will talk to Shell Lake Bank regarding debit card for clerk and treasurer. Communication: Received 2026 budget for fire district Public Comments: Pat I. commented on campground and issues with a circuit court order, Mabi P. made a suggestion to budget for treating of Asian beetles. Nancy H. commented on issues with town website email addresses. Old Business: None New Business: Lake District discussion of how boat launch fees are to be spent and what steps the Lake District takes to ensure the health of the lake, Lake District will use boat launch fees for weed control which can also include aquatic plant management plan. Draft budget for Town of Spooner presented by Chairman Frankiewicz. Discussion to keep tax levy the same with some minor budget adjustments. Treasurer will look into someone to treat beetles at town hall. Highway Update and Expenditures: Pot holes on Little Valley road filled, Yellow Sands is black topped and shoulder work will be done. Payment of Bills: Motion by Chairman Frankiewicz to approve the payment of bills Second by Supervisor Johnson motion carried unanimously. Next Regular Board Meeting Date: November 11 2025 6pm Future Agenda Items:Oct. 28th Open Book, Nov.5th Board of review, Budget review and presentation, Electors meeting, Property tax levy, budget levy approval.
