One thing on the agenda and that is reimbursement of meeting attendance, for example the fire district and EMT meetings. Checking with other towns it seems the majority do pay for these things. Here is what I am bringing for discussion Meetings less than four hours will be reimbursed at $25 per meeting and will come out of the appropriate budget. For instance fire district comes out of the fire district. For meeting or training over four hours and less than 7 hours reimbursement will be at the rate of $50. Training will come out of the education budget. Full day training (7 hours or more) will be reimbursed at $100 a day. Mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS standard mileage rate for self-employed or business (currently $0.70/mile Tree removal performed by board member will be reimbursed at the rate of $25 and be placed under other road maintenance budget. Now this is just what I am suggesting and the board may have other ideas. But really we should be in line with other towns.
