Town of Spooner WASHBURN COUNTY – WISCONSIN July 8 2025 6pm Spooner Town Hall N6124 Blooming Vale Road, Spooner MINUTES REGULAR BOARD MEETING Call to Order: Meeting was called to order by Chairman Frankiewicz. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Members present: Chairman Gary Frankiewicz, Supervisor Jon Johnson Supervisor Chris Thompson, Treasurer Joan Avery, Clerk Betsy Lambert. Others present: Mabi P., Lori J., Glen J., Rick S., Todd C., Judie C., Kelly C., Wayne P., Dennis P., Jim H., David W., Verdell P., Vic S. Minutes of June Regular Meeting: Motion to approve: Chairman Frankiewicz, Second Supervisor Johnson, motion passed. Treasurer’s Report: Bills paid and up to date Communication: Notice from Washburn County in regards to timber cutting Public Comments: Park Place resident Glen J. in support of donation from Wayne P. Mabi P. thanks board for posting addresses of conditional use permit and variance application. Also for posting a more detailed agenda “Snap Shot” on the town website. Wayne P. asking about signage for Mann Rd. Supervisor Johnson will take care of signs. Old Business: Motion to accept donation from Wayne P. for repaving end of Park Place. Motion by Chairman Frankiwicz, Second Supervisor Johnson, Motion passed. New Business: Conditional use permit from Jeffery Heller/Juanita Cotter to construct a retail building at 5850 St. Rd. 70. Motion by Supervisor Thompson to accept, Supervisor Johnson second, motion passed unanimously. Application from Beautiful Savior Ev. Luth. Church for a 8x6 sign on ST. Hwy. 70. Motion by Supervisor Johnson to accept, second Supervisor Thompson, motion passed unanimously. Highway Update and Expenditures: Mowing is done. Pot holes are done. Yellow Sands road construction will start end of July or early August. Payment of Bills: Motion by Supervisor Thompson to approve the payment of bills Second by Supervisor Johnson motion carried unanimously. Next Regular Board Meeting Date: August 12 2025 6pm Future Agenda Items: None at this time. Adjourn: Motion by Supervisor Johnson, seconded by Supervisor Thompson.
