Town of Spooner WASHBURN COUNTY – WISCONSIN July 9, 2024 6pm Spooner Town Hall N6124 Blooming Vale Road, Spooner MINUTES REGULAR BOARD MEETING Call to Order: Meeting was called to order by Chairman Frankiewicz. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Members present: Chairman Gary Frankiewicz, Supervisor Jon Johnson, Supervisor Miles Macone, Treasurer Joan Avery, Clerk Leslie Arf Others present: Mabi Plisky, Jeri Witkowiak, Eugene Witkowiak, Rick Seckora, Julie Foss, Tom Foss, Penny Cuskey, Don Cuskey, Jessica Macone, Jim Dohm Minutes of June Regular Meeting: Motion to approve: Supervision Johnson, Second Supervisor Macone, motion passed. Treasurer’s Report: Received deposit from MFL land. Savings account next month will reflect next collection of taxes then will be transferred to MM account Correspondence: Emails sent to board re: Rezoning of Foss property Public Comment: None Old Business NONE New Business: Vote on Rezoning of Foss Property. Supervisor Macone: County will look at surrounding areas, surrounding areas are already zoned Res Ag. No reason not to approve the rezone to Res Ag. Motion to approve rezoning made by Supervisor Macone, seconded by Supervisor Johnson, motion passed. Vote on CUP for Foss Property. Chairman Frankiewicz referenced Act 67. Motion to approve CUP made by Supervisor Macone. Seconded by Supervisor Johnson. Motion passed. Supervisor Macone, Due to increased use of boat landing and the mini storage is going to add to that, would Mr. Foss be interested in selling a half acre or so for a parking lot? The Board will look into details of this as long as owner is open to the idea. Mr. Foss stated he would be open to this. The increased traffic along Spooner Lake Road is a hazard and many boats and trailers are parking where they shouldn’t Questions re: Foss CUP for Mini storage: Is this a true mini storage where everyone has their own garage door? Yes. Highway Update and Expenditures: Construction on Mann Rd will begin in August. Ditch mowing was done late June Payment of Bills: Motion by Supervisor Macone to approve the payment of bills Second by Johnson motion carried unanimously. Next Regular Board Meeting Date: Tuesday August 13th 2024 6pm Future Agenda Items: Discussion and possible action regarding parking lot at Boat Landing. No Parking areas along Spooner Lake Road. Budget Adjustment Possibly Selling Town Tractor Adjourn: Motion by Supervisor Macone, seconded by Supervisor Johnons.
