Town of Spooner WASHBURN COUNTY – WISCONSIN December 12, 2023 6pm Spooner Town Hall N6124 Blooming Vale Road, Spooner MINUTES REGULAR BOARD MEETING Call to Order: Meeting was called to order following electors meeting. by Chairman Gary Frankiewicz. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Members present: Chairman Gary Frankiewicz, Supervisor Jon Johnson, Supervisor Miles Macone, Treasurer Joan Avery, Clerk Leslie Arf, Others present: Rick Seckora Minutes of November Regular Meeting: Motion by Supervisor Johnson to approve November 2023 minutes, seconded by Chairman Frankiewicz. Motion was carried unanimously. Treasurer’s Report. Treasurer Joan Avery gave financial report, Tax money transferred to To MM account. Correspondence: None Public Comment: None Old Business NONE New Business: Supervisors Road Inspection Report: Ojibwa road on schedule for Spring. Feb/March bids for Mann Rd and Yellow Sands. Can use reserve funds for roads. Get estimates from County for Ojibwa Appt of Election Supervisor Mabi Plisky. Motion made by Chairman Frankiewicz, seconded by Supervisor Johnson. Motion passed Election Inspectors nominations: Democratic-Donna Trudelle Republican-Dorothy Schwochert. Motion to accept by Chairman Frankewicz, amend motion, upon qualifying for position. Motion seconded by Supervisor Macone, motion passed. Election Worker pay, currently supervisor is $13/hr and workers $11/hr. Motion made by Supervisor Macone to raise to $13/hr for workers and $15/hr for supervisor. Supervisor Johnson seconded, motion passed Highway Update and Expenditures: Plow costs are down this year. Salt/Sand was done last Monday, working well with County Payment of Bills: Motion by Johnson to approve the payment of bills Second by Macone motion carried unanimously. Next Regular Board Meeting Date: January 9, 2024 Adjourn: Motion by Supervisor Johnson to adjourn the meeting, motion seconded by Supervisor Macone; motion carried unanimously. Meeting adjourned.
