Fire & EMS Committee Minutes 32288 Bushnell Road / Burlington WI 53105 August 18, 2025 1. Call to order Chairman Czaplewski called to order the meeting of the Fire & EMS committee at 6:32 PM. The meeting was held in the Town Hall auditorium at 32288 Bushnell Road. Committee members Neal Czaplewski, Jeff Rice, Fire Chief Bill Vrchota, Assistant Chief Scott Wingreen, Sara Van Dusseldorp, and Dennis Donohoe were in attendance. Devin Chart was absent. 2. Approval of minutes from August 6, 2025 meeting Vrchota motioned to approve the minutes as presented; seconded by Van Dusseldorp. Motion carried. 3. Discussion on Town’s future EMS direction Czaplewski reviewed the discussions from past meetings. The committee is looking into a phase-in process over a 3-year period. This includes capital expenditures, temporary staffing with a third party, and working on requirements for licensure. The committee then continued to discuss in-house EMS program. Then next meeting the committee will be looking at building a financial model along with creating a presentation and speaking points. This meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 6:30PM in the Town Hall auditorium. 4. Adjournment Rice motioned to adjourn at 7:00 PM; Wingreen seconded. Motion carried.
