Administrator Jager presented staff’s recommendation to continue using Municipal Code Enforcement, LLC as the Village’s code enforcement provider. Staff determined that the contractor’s expertise in zoning, land use, and ordinance enforcement would be difficult to duplicate through a general part-time Village position and could also support the Building Department with matters such as silt fence compliance. Staff recommended maintaining the current service level of approximately three hours per week through the remainder of 2026 while working with the contractor to update outdated or unclear ordinance provisions. Expanding service to approximately ten hours per week may be considered during the 2027 budget process. The Board requested that Administrator Jager coordinate a meeting with Municipal Code Enforcement and the appropriate department heads to discuss the Village’s code enforcement needs and how services should be handled moving forward. ADJOURN Skinner/Andres motion to adjourn at 7:05 p.m. Motion carried 7-0.
