New Munster, WI 53105 Clerk Katie Sweatman Board of Review Minutes Wednesday, September 3, 2025 – 6:00 PM – 8PM Page 1 of 2 The meeting was called to order by Chairmen, Jeff Butler at 6:00 PM. Clerk, Katie Sweatman confirmed that the meeting notice was posted in the Kenosha News on August 29, 2025, at the Town Hall (upstairs and downstairs), Wheatland Center School, the Town website, and West of the I Present: • Katie Sweatman, Town Clerk • Kelly Wilson, Supervisor • Jeff Butler, Town Chairman • Kyle Madsen, Supervisor 5. Selection of Officers • Chairperson: Motion made by Clerk, Sweatman, second by Chairmen Butler, to nominate Supervisor Wilson as Chairperson. Motion carried. • Vice Chairperson: Motion by Clerk, Sweatman, second by Supervisor Wilson, to nominate Chairmen Butler as Vice Chairperson. Motion carried. 6. Mandatory Training Verification All members confirmed to have completed the required training. Jeff Butler confirmed with submitting affidavit to Department of Revenue. 7. Confidentiality Ordinance Verification The Town has an ordinance in compliance with Wis. Stat. §70.47(7)(af) regarding confidentiality of income and expense information. 8. Review of New Laws No new laws to review. 9. Policies • Sworn Testimony (Telephone/Written): No testimony was received. Policy stands as written. • Waiver of Hearing Requests: Existing policy in place. 10. Assessor’s Report • Level of Assessment: 100% for 2025 due to the recent market update. Receipt of Assessment Roll The Clerk received the assessment roll and affidavit from the assessor. 12. Review of Assessment Roll • Roll examined; no errors or double assessments found. • Open Book changes verified as included. 13. Taxpayer Examination of Data The assessment roll is available for public inspection at the Town Hall. 14. Consideration of Waivers/Objections • No requests received for waivers of 48-hour notice. • No appeals, telephone testimony, or written testimony received. 15. Other Business No additional matters presented. 16. Recess Motion by Clerk, Sweatman, second by Chairwoman, Wilson, to recess at 6:10 PM. Motion carried. The Board recessed at 6:10 PM and remained available as required for the statutory two-hour session. No additional appointment needed by community.
