TOWN OF BARABOO MINUTES of the Regular Town Board Meeting JUNE 8, 2026 1. Meeting was called to order by Chair, Bill Klemm at 7:00PM. Deputy Clerk, Barbara Terry verified compliance with Wisconsin’s open meetings laws. Reference Wis. Stat. § 19.84. 2. Roll call of the town’s elected official s taken. Present were: Chair, Bill Klemm ; Supervisors: Randy Puttkamer, Mike Terry, Bill Steinhorst & Treasurer, Mary Farrell - Stieve. Deputy Clerk, Barbara Terry. Supervisor, Steve Hess excused absence. 3. Pledge of Allegiance was cited. 4. Motion to adopt meeting agenda by Supervisor, Bill Steinhorst . Motion seconded by Supervisor, Randy Puttkamer. All in favor. Motion carried. 5. Motion made by Supervisor, Randy Puttkamer to approval of the minutes of the regular town board meeting held on May 11, 2026. Motions seconded by Supervisor, Bill Steinhorst. All in favor. Motion carried. 6. Citizens’ appearance; any person wishing to speak about a subject that is not on this agenda may make a short presentation to the town board. Please keep the presentation respectable and concise. 7. Jen Roloff was introduced as the new Town of Baraboo Clerk. Her Letter of Appointment stating she would start June 15, 2026. Deputy Clerk, Barbara Terry stated that we had received Thank You Letters from other candidates. 8. Motion to a pprove of Charles Chmielewski (Devil’s Lake Basecamp) Tourist Rooming House located at S5667 Old Lake Rd. Baraboo, WI by Supervisor, Bill Steinhorst. Motion seconded by Supervisor, Mike Terry. All in favor. Motion carried. 9. Cooperative Agreement between Sauk County, City of Baraboo & Town of Baraboo to develop a spur trail connecting the Great Sauk State Trail to the City of Baraboo, Tabled. 10. Presentation given by Jessica Machovec,, Sauk county Treasurer reporting on Municipal Online Tax Bill Payment Processing Integration (Credit Card/Debit Card/Echeck – acceptance. No action taken. 11. Motion to approve the following application for Retail Alcohol Beverage License for Skillet Creek Campground made by Supervisor, Randy Puttkamer. Motion was seconded by Supervisor, Bill Steinhorst. All in favor. Motion carried. Motion to approve application for Retail Alcohol Beverage License for Tumbled Rock Brewery & Kitchen by Supervisor Randy Puttkamer. Motion was seconded by Supervisor, Mike Terry. All in favor. Motion made by Supervisor, Mike Terry to approve quote from The Talented Tradesman on Lehman Road tree trimming & removal. Motion was seconded by Supervisor, Randy Puttkamer. All in favor. Motion carried. 13. Town of Baraboo Clerk, Jen Roloff will work on the County Bridge Aid Annual Petitions due July 1, 2026. 14. Motion to move/renew Resolution: 2026-09 (WCCU-CD) by Supervisor, Randy Puttkamer. Motion seconded by Supervisor , Bill Steinhorst ; Motion to move/renew Resolution 2026-10 (Re-Val CD) by Supervisor, Randy Puttkamer .. Motion seconded by Supervisor, Bill Steinhorst. Motion by Supervisor, Mike Terry to move Resolution #2026- 11 (Draper St. CD) into LGIP. Motion seconded by Supervisor, Bill Steinhorst . Motion made by Supervisor, Randy Puttkamer to move/renew Resolution 2026-12 (Bank of WI Dells CD). Motion seconded by Supervisor, Mike Terry . Motion by Supervisor, Mike Terry to move/renew Resolution # 2026-13 (Bank of WI Dells). Motion seconded by Supervisor, Randy Puttkamer. All in favor. Motion carried on all resolutions. 15. Motion was made by Supervisor, Mike Terry to hire Pickett Septic Port-A-Potty rental for Giese Park on a monthly rental, pump & clean ($185.00) basis & on call pump & clean as needed for Recycle Center Town of Baraboo owned Port -A-Potty. Motion seconded by Supervisor, Bill Steinhorst. All in favor. Motion carried. 16. Elected officials’ reports were given, as well as any communications and correspondence received on behalf of the Town of Baraboo. 17. Treasurer’s Financial Report for May 2026. Bank statement did not arrive until late June 8, 2026. Report will be given next month. 18. Motion made by Supervisor, Randy Puttkamer to approve vouchers and checks. Motion seconded by Supervisor, Bill Steinhorst. All in favor. Motion carried. 19. Motion made by Supervisor, Bill Steinhorst to adjourn meeting at 8:37 PM .
