Minutes of Regular Town Board Meeting April 13,2026 Chair, Bill Klemm called the meeting to order at 7PM and Deputy Clerk, Barbara Terry verified compliance with Wisconsin’s open meetings laws. Roll call was taken of the town’s elected officials: Present were Chair, Klemm; Supervisors: Puttkamer, Hess, Terry, Steinhorst & Treasurer, Ferrell-Stieve.. Also present: Barbara Terry, Deputy Clerk. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Motion was made by Hess to adopt meeting agenda. Motion was seconded by Puttkamer. All in favor. Motion carried. Motion was made by Steinhorst to approve the minutes of the regular town board meeting held on March 9, 2026. Motion was seconded by Puttkamer. All in favor. Motion carried. Citizens’ appearance. Dick Mielke complimented the Town of Baraboo Web Site. Motion made by Terry to approve appointment of Richard Wolkowski to the Baraboo Sanitary Sewer District. #1. Motion was seconded by Steinhorst. All in favor. Motion carried. Brad Boettcher shared emails from General Engineering re: Pikes Peak Rd. No action taken. Motion was made by Hess to approve Resolution # 2026-06 Adopting Town of Baraboo Placement of Notices/Signage on Town of Baraboo property. Motion was seconded by Steinhorst. All in favor. Motion carried. Discussion was given on the purchase of new posting boxes. No Action taken. Formal input regarding the proposed amendments to Chapter 7 of Sauk County’s Code of Ordinances. No Action taken. Give elected officials’ reports, as applicable, as well as any communications and correspondence received on behalf of the Town of Baraboo: Chairperson Bill Klemm: Public Works (Town Highway & Building Projects) Supervisor Randy Puttkamer: Public Safety (Town of Baraboo Representative – Baraboo Area Fire & EMS District); Sauk County Land Resources & Extension Laison (Citizen Member – Farm Services Agency Representative) Supervisor Steve Hess: Conservation & Development (Chairperson – Plan Commission) Supervisor Mike Terry: Health & Human Resources (Recycling Center); Culture, Recreation, & Education (Town of Baraboo Representative – Great Sauk State Trail Committee) Supervisor Bill Steinhorst: Capital Outlay; Debt Services (General Finances) Dep. Clerk Barbara Terry: Annexation Requests; Open Records Requests; Public Inquiries; Elections (Town Business) Treasurer Mary Farrell-Stieve: General Government (Town’s Reserved & Unreserved Funds) Treasurer’s Reconciliation reports. No action taken. Motion was made by Puttkamer to approve submitted vouchers and checks. Motion was seconded by Steinhorst. All in favor. Motion carried. Motion to adjourn at 8:16 PM by Puttkamer.
